Hey ya'll and welcome to The Southern Stitcher! I'm a stay at home mom of three who comes from a long line of thrift and creativity. I love a good deal, hate to waste things, and enjoy repurposing objects we don't use anymore into something new. Feel free to try out these projects and tips on your own, you may be surprised what you come up with!

A Market Skirt and a Monogram
One of my favorite websites is called Made. Dana's simple instructions and tutorials make sewing easy, and several of her projects either use no pattern or show how to make your own. This is her Market Skirt, and I made it in a little over an hour. Then I took a $1 garage sale shirt and added a monogram, plus a pair of leggings Mistress already had and a pair of brand new shoes that I got at a consignment sale for $3. (They squeak when she walks!) So, for about $3 worth of fabric and a little time, I have an entire outfit that cost less than $10. Plus, I had enough left over fabric to make a matching one for her BFF. Shhh. It's a surprise!
